“Secret Beach” is an ambiguous name

Several Maui beaches carry informal “secret” names. This guide refers to the small rock-framed cove in Mākena commonly called Mākena Cove, Secret Cove, Paʻako or Wedding Beach.

Parking and neighbor etiquette

The cove has no dedicated visitor facility or large parking lot. Obey all curb and no-parking signs, keep driveways and gates clear and do not use a private address as a public destination pin.

The sand can feel crowded with only a few groups, especially during ceremonies and photo sessions. Leave if the available space would require intruding on another group.
